American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE)
International society dedicated to agricultural and biological engineering. Established 1907.
American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)
Professional body of engineers for the advancement of civil engineering to enhance human welfare. Established 1852.
American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Professional association focused on furthering mechanical engineering via training, education, and creating standards. Established 1880.
Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)
International non-profit professional education and scientific engineering group focusing on computing. Established 1947.
Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)
International professional engineering society for the advancement of the technical advancement of electrical and electronic engineering, telecomunications, and computer engineering. Established 1963.
National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE)
Organization focused on improving the recruitment and retention of black and other minority engineers in academe and industry. Established 1975.
Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE)
National organization of professional engineers to serve as role models and give career advancing training and education to the Hispanic community. Established 1974.
Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME)
Non-profit society of students and professionals for the advancement of manufacturing industry. Established 1932.
Society of Women Engineers (SWE)
Professional engineering society dedicated to, “Stimulate women to achieve full potential in careers as engineers and leaders, expand the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in improving the quality of life, demonstrate the value of diversity." Established 1950.
